Friends of Africa is a membership-based organisation, meaning the work we do is carried out on a voluntary basis by young people who want to make a positive impact on society.
Everything we do is to achieve our mission- to work with young people in Ireland and Africa to provide personal and social development opportunities.
So, what is it we do?
We operate a summer volunteer programme
We fundraise to support the needs of our partners
We support those affected by social injustice issues
We provide youth work training for our members
We educate our members through development education workshops
We want to ensure what we do is done right, and so Friends of Africa is a member of Comhlamh and a signatory of the Dochas Code of Conduct.
